There aren't many things that soothe me more than baking a cake after a stressful day.
I got to come home earlier from my internship, which means I had time to raid my pantry and come up with a new recipe!
I had some leftover chocolate chips and salted caramel sauce that I was dying to use and this was the perfect moment.
What you'll need:
3 eggs
200gr baking flour
150gr caster sugar
140gr baking butter (very soft or melted)
1 packet of baking yeast
1 packet vanilla sugar
1 tbsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp of baking soda
100gr of chocolate chips
Preheat your oven at 175 degrees.
Mix the sugar and eggs together.
Add the vanilla sugar, flour, yeast and baking soda.
Add in the soft or melted butter into the mixture and mix until all incorporated.
Take 1/3 of the mixture and put it in a small bowl.
Mix in the caramel sauce until well incorporated.
Add the first mixture in a silicon pound cake pan and pour in 2/3 of the chocolate chips.

Mix them in grossly so as to make sure they're evenly distributed.
Add the caramel mixture and grossly mix it in to create marble-like swirls.
Add some more chocolate chips on top and put in the oven.
Bake for about 45 minutes (or until the middle is cooked).
Remove from oven and let it cool down before serving.

Enjoy!

P.S.: I made a quick chocolate frosting for the cake because I left it in too long and the top was visibly overcooked (oopsies!). But you can choose to make one or not, I leave that decision to you!
